About a year ago I set out with the goal of designing a new type of training program that would allow me to push the envelope of delivering max results in the least amount of time possible. I developed a unique workout program that I called the Time Crunched Trail Rider (TCTR) that delivered great results in 30 minutes and actually became the basis for the programs in my training facility for a while. Eventually I went back to “normal” workouts that allowed me to address things I couldn’t in the condensed TCTR program but I still use a variation of this workout in my facility today.
At the time I planned on creating a program based on the new workouts. I had actually created the workout logs and video demos for the program but, for some reason, I never finished the project. While digging around on my computer the other day I came across the program materials I had so far and remembered that I never released the TCTR Program.
For riders who are short on training time the TCTR workouts are an amazingly effective way to train. They allow you to maintain – or even improve – cardio and strength on the trail while spending less than 2 hours a week working out. They are short, intense workouts that focus on the exercises required to improve the movement skills you need on the trail…
…however, I want to be up front that this workout program is not for everyone. If you are just starting out with strength training or are nursing an injury you may want to start with my DB Combos or Kettlebell Conditioning programs – the TCTR workouts are fast paced and require focus plus the ability to push hard the entire time.
